Important Changes Effective December 1, 2018
LIHSSA has been merged with LIPHA
Long Island High Score Awards Association (LIHSAA) has been merged with the Long Island Professional Horsemen’s Association (LIPHA).
Beginning in 2019, you will need to become a member of the LIPHA for your points to count toward year-end awards.
The Long Island PHA took over the “End-of-the-Year Awards” in December 2018 for the show year 2019. At that time, it was suggested that we follow the model set forth in NJ, with one class in a division that would count toward year-end. Since that time, we have received feedback from exhibitors and trainers about this point system.
Therefore, the LIPHA has decided, in the interest of supporting Long Island Horse shows, their exhibitors and trainers, that the point system will revert back to include all classes in the division.
Points will be adjusted for the entire 2019 show season and all points earned are now updated to include all classes.
Thank you for your input as we work on a system that supports the Long Island horse community.
